About Us & History
Atticrose was registered in 1982. The main works and offices are based close to junction 10 of the M6 motorway in the West Midlands on 1 3430m2 site, with two adjacent production bays with a total shop floor area of 1800m2. Both bays are 7.3m high.  The first bay has one 5 tonne overhead travel crane and the second bay has 2 x 5 tonne overhead travel cranes. The large roller shutter doors allow access for mobile craneage for heavier lifts. We have a second workshop of 650m2 also in Reaymer Close where we carry out our ceramic fibre manufacture for the kiln division.

The company has steadily grown over the last 23 years and we now employ approximately 50 people. Our customer base has also grown with a large volume of repeat business from these customers, which is a testimony to the quality of service that we offer.
Bespoke Engineering Skills
Our skilled plater welders use ARC, MIG and TIG welding equipment to manufacture the products from a range of carbon and stainless steel, in material thickness from 1.3mm to 100mm.  Our workshops are equipped with shears, saws, bending and rolling machines and a spray booth.  Our sister company carries out all our machining requirements.

We have the skilled labour to assemble and test machines and equipment manufactured for our customers prior to delivery, also a team of site engineers to carry out installation work on site.

We have the facilities to carry out hydraulic pneumatic and electrical installations.
Our site engineers have been involved in factory relocation projects and general machine installation.

Our engineering department is happy to make site visits to our customer premises to discuss engineering problems and projects and through our design office prepare designs and solutions for them.
Kilns & Furnace Skills
Attic Rose Kilns design team work closely with our customers, from initial project inception through to final build and commissioning. Our kilns and furnaces are purpose designed and built to suit our customers' specific requirements.

Kilns and furnaces can be of modular construction, completely pre-fabricated and assembled in our works, ready for rapid on-site installations, or built in-situ.

We have the skills necessary to take care of every task associated with kiln and furnace construction: -
  • Total design including mechanical, refractory, and electrical and control engineering.
  • Mechanical handling systems.
  • In-house fabrication and refractory lining systems.
  • Site installation, including electrical installation to IEE. regulations.
  • Commissioning and customer training.
Our site installation engineers have all been assessed for the Client Contractor National Safety Group, safety passport. This is a nationally accredited safety passport scheme awarded by the Engineering Construction Industry Training Board covering many safety issues.

Our pipefitters are all Corgi registered and our systems are designed to comply with BSEN746 regulations for gas-burning equipment.

We provide complete after-sales back up service to our customers - spares, servicing and repairs, and also offer updating / refurbishment of existing equipment, including complete relocation of plant.
